This Month - May 2009

It all started in 2005, when after about 20 years away from watching stock cars I stumbled aross a stox site on the net and thought "wonder if it's still as good?" a few weeks passed and in August of 2005 set of for Coventry with my camera. I was again hooked. A week or two later I decided to dig out all my old stox stuff and then I had a silly idea "why not make a web page that I could put my photos on and add some of the old stuff I had?", so off I went and started "Stoxpics". being with AOL I had 2Mb of free space which soon filled up, so I had to learn quickly to get all my photos on, a little bit of trickery and things were going well, as well as learning about webpage design people actually visited the site and after 3 years about 10,000 visits. But as the saying goes "all good things come to an end", AOL pulled the plug on its free webpages and soon after stopped it's free photo storage which sort of messed things up a little, ok a lot. After posting a thread on "Stoxnet" for help and advice the name "DigitalRed" came up, so I contacted and mailed Daniel who was very helpful and the rest as they say is history, Digital Red began hosting and gave lots of advice when my limited knowlege failed me, which was a little more often than I'd like to admit. We now have around 700 pictures to view, a decicated Rebels and Heritage page and will be adding some pictures from other forms of motorsport in 2009, time is a little limited but we try and update when we can. It's been a steep learning curve and the end product, or should that read "work in progress?" anyway hope you enjoy our site.
